Diving Tulamben
Home of the USAT Liberty wreck, one of the world's most accessible and photogenic shipwrecks. Perfect for all levels.
About Tulamben
Tulamben is a small fishing village on Bali's northeast coast that has become one of the world's top dive destinations thanks to the USAT Liberty wreck. This 120-meter World War II cargo ship lies just 30 meters from the beach at depths of 5-30 meters, making it accessible to snorkelers and divers of all levels. Beyond the wreck, Tulamben offers excellent macro diving at the Coral Garden and Drop Off sites, where you can find pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, and a stunning variety of nudibranchs. The black volcanic sand creates a dramatic backdrop for underwater photography.

“Did my PADI Open Water here and it was hands down the best decision of my Bali trip. Instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe the entire time. The Tulamben wreck dive on day 3 was unreal.”

“The Nusa Penida manta trip was absolutely incredible. Saw 4 mantas on the first dive and the Crystal Bay dive was equally stunning. Small group, great guide, perfect day.”
